Things are hotting up as the leader board changes shape in round 5 of the hotly contested friendly competition (for club night players of all standards), Club Night Challenge. Keen to halt the runaway success of our current leader, a few "Ringers" reared their ugly heads this week (sorry boys) , causing frustrations & a few laughs and opening up the possibility of winning the overall title to at least the top 5 placed players.
Much to his chagrin, Jake found himself facing his arch nemeses, Nick Mulvey, Tim Dixon and Charlie Johnson in this, the penultimate round of this year's tournament. Whereas normally Jake had been confident of at least making the semi's each week, this time things were different as he found himself in the rare position of finishing the night without a single win.
This has of course completely opened up the tournament to the other players.
In the true spirit of the competition, anyone can win in Club Night Challenge. It's unique format means that EVERY point counts, making it possible to finish the night without a single win and yet still qualify for the semi-finals. As a result, it's not just the best players that get through, making it far more appealing to all those that take part.
The final night of CNC will take place on Sunday 28th February, so why not come along and join in the fun?
