dsBishops Stortford player and World No 21 Dayl Selby upset the rankings at the British Open in Manchester Today......Having never made it past the 1st round in the British Open before, Daryl had high hopes going into the tournament as it is generally considered that he is playing extremely well......good enough even to challenge some of the World Top 15.

Yesterday, he made it through the 1st round against an injured (No 14 seed) Aamir Atlas Khan (Pak) and then today he backed that up with a confident win over World No 11 and No 8 seed Adrian Grant. A fantastic result for Daryl, who will now meet World No 5 and No 2 seed Nick Matthew in the quarter finals. Good luck Daryl!

We are pleased to confirm that as from 1st July 2010 Andrew Mulvey has officially been appointed the club’s new manager, having taken over the position from Karen Selby.

Although this is a complete change of direction for him (having worked for the same Investment Management Company for the past 23 years turning his hand to many different tasks along the way), in his “spare time” he has been very actively involved in the squash world.
