JUST £70 TO GO.....Surely we can get Karen over her target before she gets back on Monday??
As we are sure you are already aware, our beloved club manager Karen Selby is now in Tanzania and about to start her epic climb of Mount Kilimanjaro for the excellent cause of the Breast Cancer Care Units at Princess Alexandra and St Margaret's Hospitals.
She still needs your help.......
Karen has acheived an excellent amount of donations so far, however, ideally she needs a little bit more if she is to exceed the amount required to complete the climb, so please, if you have not already done so (what the heck.......even if you have already done so!) please click this link and donate as much as you can afford. Here's why Karen is doing it...
" It is almost 6 years since I completed the toughest physical challenge of my life - the Inca Trail and now in a moment of madness I have agreed to another more difficult challenge!Kilimanjaro is over 19,000 ft high and the highest freestanding mountain in the world, although set in beautiful Tanzania conditions approaching the peak at minus 20 degrees are not quite so inviting. Every penny I raise for this challenge will go directly to the Breast Cancer Care Units at Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow and St. Margarets Hospital Epping. The diagnosis, treatment and care of women with breast cancer has improved considerably over recent years but there is still a long way to go. Statistics show that approximately 350 women in the area will be given a positive diagnosis in the next year so it is really important that the work of Ashraf Patel and his team is supported. As the only non squash playing member of my family and according to them them most unfit person ever to run a squash club, this trek is quite a daunting challenge but one that will be worth it if just one family benefits as a result!
So please sponsor me now every £ will make a difference - thank you x "
