For those of you that joined us, you will know what a fantastic evening Saturday night was.
Special thanks go out to Karen Selby for organising a truly excellent evening, with stunning food, great company and some fantastic raffle prizes and auctions, the evening just seemed to keep getting better. A welcome glass of champagne and professional photos of all who wanted them, were followed by some of the best food I think anyone had ever eaten. World reknowned chef Anton Endlemann cooked up a delightful starter of Gazpacho Soup and Tomato tarte or Asparagus, followed by a main course of Fillet of Beef and slow braised ox-cheeks, rounded off with Pinapple Carpaccio with Mango and Banana ice cream.
Next up were the raffles and auctions. The prizes varied from shooting days to personal training sessions with none other than Peter Nicol. A turn from stand up comedian Mike Felix just left a chance for us all to prove where John Travolta got it all wrong, as we all stepped up to the dance floor to strut our stuff.
What an evening.

Thank you to everyone who donated prizes and auction items, as we raised almost £2,000 for the breast cancer appeal Karen is supporting for her climb up Kilimanjaro and special thanks to everyone who bid, particularly Nick Ridgway and Alastair Ambrose who between them bid and won the evening with Peter Nicol, but then donated it to up and coming Junior member Charlie Johnson.
Lets hope that we can convince Karen to repeat this success next year!
